These new gorgeous hot ends are a joint effort between TrinityLabs and "thejollygrimreaper" from #reprap irc channel. He has been working on this design for a year or more now and we have worked with him over the last 5 months to help perfect the 3mm version of this beastly of a hot end.

 Since there is no PTFE or plastic to be found anywhere in the hot end it is safe up to 400C which is much higher temperature then most hot ends with PTFE linears that max out at about 245C tops.

 This means the MetalMagma hot end can print Nylon, Polycarbonate, PLA, ABS, LayWood, PVA, HDPE and just about any type of filament there is currently available on the market and many more to come in the future. This is truly a future proof nozzle and will last you a long time with its rugged CNC machined construction.

 Made entirely in the USA, no compromises were given to make these babies. All of the machine work is top notch and is leagues ahead of anything you see come out of China or overseas volume machine shops. Every edge is beveled and chamfered and the machinist went above and beyond our specs to make these the best looking and best functioning hot ends on the market today.

 Each of these MetalMagma hot ends comes with a 0.4mm nozzle by default, but we do have 3 other nozzle sizes available as add-ons in 0.3mm, 0.5mm and 0.75mm. This gives you a full arsenal of sizes to choose from to get that perfect extrusion for whatever you are currently printing.

 And did we mention the nozzles are incredibly easy to change without taking the hot end off the extruder body or the printer. Just let the hot end cool off to room temperature and take a wrench or some needle-nose pliers and unscrew the nozzle from the heater block and screw the new sized nozzle back in its place and then you are ready to heat up and start printing again, literally a 2 minute operation.

 The heater blocks on these hot ends are designed with a grub screw to hold the resistor or heater cartridge in place so they are future proof for when you want to make a move from resistor-based hot ends to heater cartridge or anything else with a 6mm diameter. There is also a nicely bored hole all the way through the heater block so you can use a standard thermistor.  An axial thermistor with the leads coming one out of each side also gives a nice and clean look.

 These hot ends are machined out of 3 types of metal, the nozzles are made from brass, the heater block and the upper barrel with the groove mount in it are made from high grade polished aluminum and the secret sauce of the heat blocker inner core is made from high grade 316 stainless steel with a highly polished interior for the filament to have a smooth slippery runway of travel all the way from the entry point to the hot end up top until it meets the nozzle and is extruded out the tip.

 The stainless heater core is a M6 threaded tube that basically threads all the way to the top of the upper mounting barrel internally as can be seen in the cutaway photos below and also screws into the heater block where it contacts the nozzle so the filament enters the top of the hot end and immediately goes into the polished stainless steel passageway to the heater block where it hits a very short heat zone and then is extruded out of the nozzle size of your choice to form the filament extrusion that is deposited layer by layer to form your model.

 There is not another hot end on the market of this top end quality for this bargain price. And we stand behind our work here with a 1-month free from defects warrantee on the machined metal components. We warrant that they will be free from defects when you receive them and will stay that way for at least 30 days or we will replace the part in question free of charge, you only need pay shipping fees.

 These hot ends are available for $65 for just the metal, machined components - nozzle, heat core, barrel, and heater block in case you already have everything else.

 We also will be selling a $95 kit with all the machined metal parts of the hot end assembled with a thermistor, a resistor, the PTFE tubing for the thermistor leads, heavy-gauge high-temp wiring for the resistor and quick release crimps and clamps for the resistor and thermistor leads. This kit includes a 0.4mm nozzle by default and you also get your choice of one additional nozzle in 0.3mm, 0.5mm or 0.75mm depending on your personal preferences. The full kit also includes an aluminum groove plate for mounting the hot end to your extruder body. 

 We were waiting on a few parts for the full kit version with all the wiring harness and resistor and thermistor etc., but we are now shipping so your orders will arrive in a timely manner! 

 These hot ends are only 2mm longer then the j-head MKV-B at 54mm long tip to tip and weigh in at a svelte 17grams only! Get yours while they're hot! Pun intended... ;)
